New IOM Service for Broadcasters

From today, television stations around the world will be able to
download broadcast quality video footage on migration-related
issues from IOM through its website, "paragraph-link-underlined" href="http://www.iom.int" target=""
title="">www.iom.int

Broadcasters and television agencies will have free access to
stock video footage from around the world on subjects as diverse as
internal displacement, human trafficking, labour migration and
development as well as emergencies and reconstruction.

Video news releases, with scripts and shotlists, will also be
available to broadcasters through the IOM website with alerts on
any new uploads being sent directly to newsrooms. Using Quicklink
software, IOM will also be able to upload broadcast quality video
direct from the field during emergencies and natural disasters,
allowing for speedy delivery of images direct into newsrooms at
critical operational times.

“Although it is a gradual start, we are very excited about
this service to the media as it has huge potential,” said
Jean Philippe Chauzy, IOM’s head of Media and Public
Information. “Migration covers a huge range of issues and our
global presence and activities mean that television stations around
the globe will have in time a valuable resource to tap into as they
cover the migration phenomenon.”

Broadcasters can access the videos from the "paragraph-link-underlined" href=
