Iran, IOM Build Migration Management Capacity
Iran - IOM Iran will organize a capacity building workshop on “The Migration and Development Nexus” in Kish Island, Iran from 26-27 August 2015.
The objective of the workshop is to discuss with Iranian migration experts how to mainstream migration into development planning and to identify current challenges in migration management.
Experts and officials from Iran’s Ministries of Interior and Foreign Affairs will attend the two-day workshop.
Since 2004, IOM has conducted several national and regional conferences and workshops on different migration issues for Iranian officials and policy makers involved in migration management and development issues.
The course materials and curriculum have been developed at the request of the Iranian government and are informed by IOM’s expertise in migration and development, and labour migration.
The training programme is supported by the Government of Japan and organized by IOM, in collaboration with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
