IOM Slovenia Develops Awareness Raising Materials for Children and Youth
Slovenia – The IOM office in Slovenia has produced awareness-raising materials – postcards, bookmarks and posters – with the aim to improve the public understanding of migration and contribute towards eliminating stereotypes and hate speech that often accompany the discourse on migration and international protection.
The artwork featured on the materials was developed by artist Ruth Angulo Cruz, while the quotes accompanying the illustrations are from the IOM campaign “I am a migrant, I am a refugee”. The material is directed at fostering a discussion on forced migration with children and young people and is being disseminated in educational institutions across the country.
The production of the materials was made possible by the MRF grant of the Council of Europe Development Bank.
