IOM Observes Second Round of Out-Of-Country Voting
IOM will observe the second round of Out of Country Voting for
Ecuador’s presidential elections this Sunday.
The Organization had served as an international observer in the
first round of the elections for Ecuadorians abroad on 15 October
in cities with the largest numbers of Ecuadorian registered voters.
Then, nearly 87,700 people cast their votes in the Spanish cities
of Madrid, Murcia and Barcelona, the Italian cities of Milan, Genoa
and Rome, and in the states of New York and New Jersey in the
United States.
For the second round, IOM will also be present in the Venezuelan
capital, Caracas. Venezuela is the South American country with the
highest number of Ecuadorian registered voters.
