Director General Becomes Honorary Fellow of Oxford College
United Kingdom - IOM Director General William Lacy Swing has become an Honorary Fellow of Oxford University’s Harris Manchester College. The College bestowed the honour on Ambassador Swing at an induction ceremony in Oxford in June.
At the ceremony, the Revd. Dr. Ralph Waller, Principal of Harris Manchester College and Pro Vice Chancellor of University of Oxford, described the Director General as “a distinguished figure in the field of international relations and diplomacy, a citizen of the United States and the world.”
Harris Manchester is one of Oxford University’s smallest colleges and only admits students over the age of 21, a third of them postgraduates. Its Honorary Fellows include distinguished figures from academia, the public and private sectors.
