This year's flagship publication argues that in a world where
demographics, economic needs and the effects of environmental
change are driving the inexorable rise in numbers of international
migrants, governments and non-state actors have little choice but
to invest adequate financial and human resources to ensure States,
societies and migrants reap the full potential of future
migration.

An interactive dialogue with the members of the Global Migration
Group (GMG) will take place on 1st December. The outgoing chair of
the GMG, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights
Navanethem Pillay and other members of the Group will discuss the
Group's priority areas of work.

This year's International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) will open
on 2 December. It will examine how migration can positively drive
social change and development at all levels.

Keynote speakers will include Sandrine Salerno, Mayor of the
City of Geneva, Seyed Taghi Ghaemi, Advisor to the Minister of
Interior, Islamic Republic of Iran, Sakir Fakili, Director of
Consular Affairs. Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkey and Alfredo
Camelo from the Cross-Cultural Studies Centre for Migrants,
Geneva.
