IOM Member States will meet in a private session on Wednesday, 18
June at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.

During this session, Mongolia, the Republic of India and the
Somali Republic will formally apply for membership within IOM. This
will bring the number of IOM Member States to 125.

The Council will also elect by a two-thirds majority a Director
General for a five-year term of office.

The official list of candidates is as follows: Mr. Brunson
McKinley; Mr. William Swing; Mr. Luca Riccardi and Mr. Sergio
Marchi.
