The Migrant E-nclusion Resource Hub provides a one-stop-shop platform featuring a variety of resources, covering the nexus between digitalization, migrant integration, and social inclusion. The hub features initiatives piloted by the IOM and other organizations around the world to not only promote migrants' digital access but also strengthen their digital skills and competencies, as well as facilitate their broader inclusion in society. It also houses knowledge products, reports, websites, online campaigns, digital tools, and mobile apps geared toward promoting integration in terms of employment, health, education, and other sectors. The variety of resources hosted on the portal target a range of audiences, from policymakers to educators, employers to migrants themselves, and covers a wide range of topics.

The organization of the portal allows for specific search functions to filter content by type and thematic area. This allows users to search for the resources most relevant to them and their specific needs. With this approach, service providers such as resettlement actors, educators, recruiters, employers, and more can find useful guidelines, tools, evidence-based research and case studies to promote digital inclusion of migrants in different contexts. At the same time, migrants, especially incoming and new arrivals, can access resources such as websites and mobile apps for employment opportunities, online courses, accommodation services, and other relevant information for their settlement and integration.

This portal has been developed within the context of the IOM Migrant E-nclusion project which aims to leverage digital solutions to address migrants’ social isolation and promote integration while enhancing the IOM’s capacity to facilitate inclusive digital approaches to pre- and post-arrival programming.

“Digital technology is shaping history. But there is also the sense that it is running away with us. Where will it take us? Will our dignity and rights be enhanced or diminished? Will our societies become more equal or less equal? Will we become more, or less, secure and safe? The answers to these questions depend on our ability to work together across disciplines and actors, across nations and political divides. We have a collective responsibility to give direction to these technologies so that we maximize benefits and curtail unintended consequences and malicious use.”
