The Fifth Global RCPs Meeting will take place on 21-22 October 2015, in Cairo, Egypt. Hosted by the League of Arab States and organized in collaboration with the International Organization for Migration, it seeks to facilitate the sharing of experiences and the exchange of views on the value and benefits of cooperation and dialogue on migration, in particular with respect to how global migration challenges are being addressed at the regional level. Under the broad theme of “Exploring Contemporary Migration Challenges: Reflecting on the Outcomes of the 2013 High Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development” the meeting will invite RCPs to collectively review key developments on the global migration landscape and to reflect on their role in addressing contemporary migration challenges. The meeting aims to provide a platform for reflection on potential synergies with similar processes in other regions. To this end, several sessions will be dedicated to exchanging views on potential actions to follow up on the outcomes of the 2013 High Level Dialogue on International Migration and Development.
