Migration Policy Practice (MPP)

Migration Policy Practice (MPP) focuses on policy-oriented research and analysis with the aim to contribute to a better understanding of the multidimensional aspects of migration and inform migration policies at the national, regional and international levels. The new editors (Marie McAuliffe, IOM; Charles Kwenin, University of Ghana; Richa Arora, GIZ) span the boundaries of migration scholarship, migration policy and migration practice with decades of experience in the field, including across diverse geographic and geopolitical settings.

Submissions are welcome on a range of topics including evolving/new migration patterns and processes, as well as particular migrant groups such as migrant workers, international students, displaced persons (IDPs and refugees), and/or specific issues related to gender/demography, nationality, migration status, COVID-19, migration and development, and diaspora for example. Submissions highlighting new methodologies in the field of migration and/or opportunities for innovative policies and practices for State and civil society actors are encouraged.

 To maintain the high quality of MPP, all articles are peer-reviewed.

All publications will be freely available online on IOM’s Publications Platform, ensuring a wide reach and impact among policymakers, as well as practitioners, scholars, researchers and students interested in issues related to migration.
