Saint Vincent and the Grenadines became a Member State of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) on 27 November 2012. It falls under the purview of IOM's Regional Office for Central and North America and the Caribbean.
In April 2021 IOM has responded to the devastation caused by the eruption of La Soufiere volcano, through displacement tracking activities, the delivery of essential shelter and emergency items, and supporting shelter management.
